The Three Rivers Stewardship Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 2023-337, Laws of Florida (“Act”), and Chapter 189, Florida Statutes being situated entirely within the Sarasota County, Florida and established on July 1, 2023 as a supplemental and alternative method to manage, own, operate, construct, and finance capital infrastructure systems, facilities and services.

The Three Rivers Stewardship CDD covers approximately 2,700 +\- acres of land and is generally located south of SR-72 and east of I-75 entirely within the boundaries of Sarasota County, Florida.

This special and limited purpose district is created as a public body corporate and politic, and local government authority and power is limited by its charter, this act, and subject to other general laws, including chapter 189, Florida Statutes, except that an inconsistent provision in this act shall control and the district has jurisdiction to perform such acts and exercise such authorities, functions, and powers as shall be necessary, convenient, incidental, proper, or reasonable for the implementation of its special and limited purpose regarding the sound planning, provision, acquisition, development, operation, maintenance, and related financing of those public systems, facilities, services, improvements, projects, and infrastructure works as authorized herein, including those necessary and incidental thereto. The district shall only exercise any of its powers extraterritorially within Sarasota County after execution of an interlocal agreement between the district and Sarasota County consenting to the district’s exercise of any of such powers within Sarasota County or an applicable development order or as part of other land development regulations issued by Sarasota County.
